You should remove the choke. The new ones have not had chokes in over 10 years
When he said choke my brain wint into the big???????????????? mode? I haven't seen one on an engine in years. I pulled them off my OS engines a long time ago. They did work great though on cowled engines. I may be installing one on a ST G-20 that doesn't choke well with the finger over the muffler.
