A plane in pieces that provided 5 minutes of fun is worth more than a plane in the rafters IMHO. Fly it! If you don't feel 100% get a smaller cheaper plane to boost you confidence! If it makes you feel any better I blindly put up a T-28D after 20 flights on the sim with no expo or DR on the 6i and it went just fine!

It's not so much my confidence level as it is just my personality. I have maidened every plane I own except my trainer. EDF jet, pz corsair, extra 300 (only my second plane), Skyraider mach 2, Seagull super decathlon, spad 13, corospad, and now this one I'll prolly hand over to ken.

Nah, just means you're a modeler, you spend time and effort on an airplane you love, if you aren't nervous then there's not much thrill and the hobby is lacking something
Good luck on the maiden, just remember to take off smooth and gain altitude, then reduce the throttle and spend more time learning how it flies slow than how it flies fast. Have fun!
