Default RE: Dynaflite Butterfly build

ejam,
I was thinking about a tail wheel as well. But I read, and I don't remember where (maybe somewhere on RCU) that the butterfly is made to be hand launched and wheel landed. I have read reviews where guys installed a tail wheel and then wished they didn't. If there's any wind I guess ground handling can be a little tricky. After thinking about it -I agree with them and decided to use the skid. I have not put it on yet though. I will after covering. Not sure if I am gonna cover it or just fuel proof it.

Sounds like I fuel proofed the same areas you did. I built a Herr Star Cruiser once and did not do the wing saddle. Fuel found its way in around the wing. The blue is a good match to the covering.

Covering -I think as long as you have some contrasting colors on the bottom you should be good. Yellow on the tips sounds good.

I will post some pics after I get started. I am still working on a design as well.
