I have a slash now also, it handles very similar to my rustler I had ages ago, but then again it doesnt.
Sure it's fun to drive, but my 4wd buggys blow this thing away!
I managed to get 14 laps with a slash in a 5 min qualifier without crashing. I can get 2 more laps with my e-firestorm in 5 mins.
So yeah the better handling truck will get you more laps. My slash has its wheels balanced and everything with balancing putty.
Comparing a slash to a 2wd stadium truck is like comparing a grape to an orange, 2 totally different vechicles. They dont drive the same.
My E-firestorm was easier to drive than the slash was, because it's a stadium truck.
