Ijust bought a used Traxxas Stampede VXL off of Ebay. The previous owner cut the connector off of what I assume is the ESC that connects to the battery pack and removed the Traxxas battery connector and spliced a Tamiya connector on it. Then he did the same thing to the battery that is with this truck. I assume he had some cars that had Tamiya connectors and he wanted everything to be compatible. My question is will this be a problem? Should I buy Traxxas connections and "fix" what he changed? I have heard that if you use an adapter to connect a Traxxas ESC to a Tamiya batter in your truck that you will melt the connection. Is that true if instead of the adapter you splice Tamiya connectors where there use to be Traxxas connectors? Thanks! Mike
