I would score some traxxas connectors and re solder them. Better conducter. I heard that the vxl set up has melted tamiya plugs. Change them quick. If you cant solder bring it to your hobby shop and for a few bucks they will do it. Im thinking of converting all of my stuff to traxxas plugs rather than deans. The traxxas plugs are easier to connect and disconnect from each other.
