I have the Fei Bao Su27 that featured in RCJI. We have had plenty of flights on it. It is powered with 2 JetCat P60 Se engines. It is enough power to fly from grass or tarmac. I think the best engines would be 2 Merlin 90 engines as the airframe could handle the extra power and the Merlins are very economical. Initially we had U/C problems but these were resolved with using 120psi air pressure. Apart from the odd loose bolt not really had many issues. We fly just with tailerons and no rudder and Dave who flies for me says it handles like a trainer. The Fei Bao has a curious tank arrangement with 3 tanks for the 2 engines. Total capacity is 5.3 Litres but it would not drain completely.

There was no building as such being ARTF and as far as I recall we had it ready to fly in 2 weeks.

The Kingtech would also be ideal engines for it.
