I still like the Avistar, mainly due to the semi-semetrical airfoil so you can get a feel for basic aerobatics before you move on, with a g-51 (80$ i think) it will go straight up. It does fly a little faster then most trainers but is very stable, and quite durable, I had several crashes and at the most it, would be an hour to fix, mostly waiting for glue to dry. Another plane I would recommend that I'm sure some people won't agree with me on, is the Modeltech Magic, it was my second plane and I thought it was easier to fly then any trainer, it will fly at about a fast walking pace and is very light and stable, and works perfect with cheap engines or even a cheap brushless setup.
