Default RE: High Quality WW2 ARF's

ORIGINAL: Pippin

It looks like. some of my buddies fly the Spitfire and Hien 50´s. It´s the same covering. I would not complain about it. Of course, as with all plastic cobering it´s no match to epoxy and paint.
Agreed, and one of my pet peeves on ARF war birds, they look way too new and shinny. I have found that, after a light sanding with 400 grit, most all covering can be painted with flat Rustolium camo colors and, after a good long curing period of at least two weeks, is fuel safe. Dull weathered war birds look more scale to me and it isn't that hard to do with even and ARF. Even just a good coat of clear flat helps on most of them.

My P-38 is painted with Rustolium over the original covering, except where I rebuilt the boom and pod bottoms. It has held up for two seasons of flying now.
