I was out today tuning my engine with the canopy and cowl off. I noticed fuel foaming in the tank and I also noticed some air bubbles going into the carb as the tank got low. I am running a 2 line system with a T fitting in supply line. I have two pieces of 1/4'' foam under my tank. All my fittings appear tight but I have not pulled the tank yet. The engine ran good but I have been having some idle issues and I wonder if this is the cause.
Is fuel foaming in the tank normal for a gas motor?
Do the Walbro fliter clunks help prevent air bubbles? [link]http://www.mfgsupply.com/m/c/38-9024.html?id=dtGt7YWW[/link]
Thanks
Excessive fuel foaming is not normal and the use of a felt filtered clunk will certaintly help in getting rid of the bubbles in the fuel feed line to the carb.
