Default RE: turnigy brushless system

ORIGINAL: s7jstep1

got one on backorder along with 4 5000mah 2s lipos

I love the battery prices at hobbyking/Hobbycity. You can get a quality Lipo which performs right up there with the big names for $32.00. I ended up buying the 4000 Mah 30C Zippy flightmax (Hard cased with a Deans connector) and I absolutely love the thing. I own an orion 3600 25C Lipo as well as the SMC Lighning volts 4000 28C and so after making the comparisons between all 3 of the batteries, they all perform juut about the same it seems. Although I do notice slightly more punch with the SMC, bur all in all the $32 battery has the quality and almost identical specs for 1/3 the price. I paid $90 for the Team Orion and $105 for the SMC. If I had been aware of these batteries being sold I could have bought about 6 of the Zippy Flightmaxes as opposed to the 2 for the same price. That to me is an absolute no brainer if you're looking to save money and then with the savings you can use it for a hop up option for your vehicle or maybe a nice brand new brushless which you can now get for a measely $40. Oh God do I sure love the revoloutionary technological innovations that have been hitting the scene for the last 4 or so years now. Brushless along with Lipo makes speed freaks such as myself even more entertained with R/C than ever before. I personally don't see a stop to the amount of Electricity that we'll be able to put through our vehicles in the coming years and beyond. However with all of this power being developed we're gonna have to start moving up in size, vehicle wise in order to compensate for the rediculous amount of voltage being zapped though the drivetrains. And it's also good to see the drop in prices for Lipo/brushless these days. When they first came out, just like any new breakthrough such as say a video game system the prices were very high. Now that the technology has become almost common place in the hobby, the prices (Especially at Hobbyking, which is my favorite place to shop (-:. I say screw the US economy at this point. It wasn't my evil self that engineered an economic mess. I have no choice but to go with what's affordable at this point in time thanks to my wonderful and incompitent leaders who no longer care about the people any more it seems. So whether or not it's made in America or sold here in america, I have no problem spending over seas to make my purchases. I'd rather support the China Man and help his family prosper than deal with Capitalistic pigs, who no can budget money properly it seems. Hell maybe I'll move over seas as well, lol.(Not really joking actually) Sorry for my rambling, so anyways, if you don't mind me asking which batteries to you end up going with? Just curious, thanks. AL.
