Default Needle Value Access in a Eindecker

Hi,

After 25 years away, I am getting back into R/C. As a re-introduction, I am starting with a SFM Eindecker ARF. It will be powered by a OS40LA.

I have mounted the motor that is pointed in the 7 o'clock position when viewed from the front. I have also re-oriented the rear mounted needle valve so that it also points in the same direction as the cylinder head. The cowl is trimed out to clear the head.

I would have to trim a huge amount of the cowl away to get my fingers on the needle valve. I would prefer just to put another small hole in the cowl for a tool to pass through.

The needle valve is knurled but not slotted or with any similar features.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a solution? I thought of attaching a nut or the head of a cap screw to the top of the needle valve but I was hoping for a cleaner solution instead of buggering up the needle valve.

Thanks in advance.
