Chippedprop has the same 2900KV motor, and he bought the same scorpion ESC from Microdan (May 2009).
Even though he had the 4S/90A rated ESC it still wouldn’t run right till he swapped out he ESC. He might have tried the 4S/70A version of the scorpion ESC too (with same bad results).

I think there is some kind of incompatibility with scorpion ESCs.

I'm sure Chippedprop can chime in for more accurate info and to correct me if I'm wrong.
