The slash is a good truck for all levels of ability. They are raced in a definitive class at rc tracks around the world. If you are going to get one and add a brushless system, i would suggest the Velineon VXL system............the motor is top notch and the esc is about average. If you want the "best" system, you should go with the VXL motor and get a sidewinder or mamba max esc from castle creations. But..............your 2200 mah 20c lipos will not power it sufficiently, they will make it run but they will get extremely hot quickly as they only can provide 44 amps continuous and the 540 size brushless motors pull 50-75 amps at full throttle........it just wouldnt be wise. You can get 5000 mah 3s 20c lipos from hobby city for $30 or so.
