RE: LT-40 flat landing gear
I'd forgotten that I had your same problem. Seems that the LGneeded tweeked after each and every landing (soft or not-so-soft). I had to toss a couple of props as there was precious little clearance if Idid not pull the gear together before each flight. My solution was to upgrade the OEMLGwith a Great Planes .60 Dural gear. Down side was that I needed to go to the parts bin to replace the nose gear as the original was not long enough for the new LG. Ibelieve that I replaced it with an old SIGKadet Sr. ARFnose gear. Perhaps you could bend the GPLGto increase its width and lower the overall height.
