Yeah it all depends on what you are trying to do, if you are putting around at brushed speeds (ie. 25mph) on no terrain, you can make do with a motor like that just fine. It's when you start going for the tough terrains, mid to high speeds (35+ mph), or racing (lots of acceleration and deceleration) that you need a decent motor.
I dont own this motor.......just came across it, but the ZERO customer service that was eluded to is not correct. It is sold and branded by Kershaw designs...............a big RC outfit, with personal concern for its customers. Dan Fisher is a great guy and very helpful. Also, and i dont own it, but i guarantee you I could pull my 2200MM, throw that motor in my E-maxx and run it on my MMM esc on 6s and hit 50+mph easy, without heat issues.

This post was mainly meant for those looking for big power who cant afford the $200+ motors, thats all..........but all the input has been very honest and diplomatic.............thats why i like this place!
