Default RE: New brushless motor

in the neu motors you would want the 1400 series motors
the 1409 1.5D is 4500 kv, the 09 is 2.25 inches or 57mm or so
the 1412-1D is 4875 kv, its 2.5 inches or 63 mm
common short cans are 50mm for reference
these will be pretty hard on the controller so watch you temps at first, you will probably be able to gear up a bit also as they have so much more torque than common 2 pole motors. I would recomment looking into the
1409 1Y at 3600 kv or 1412 1.5D at 3300kv they will be much nicer to your speed controller

In the lehners you want either the basic xl or 19 series motors, they are 36 mm diameter
the basic xl is 54mm long available in 3100, 4200 and 5000, even these will put a heck of alot of whoopin on the esc if you get the 4200 or 5000 kv versions
the 19 series are available in 44/54/64/74 mm lengths 1920/1930/1940/1950
the 1940 4 turn is rated at 3919 kv but would be about 100 + amp draw alot of the time I suspect, the 1950 3 turn at 4180 would be even worse
the 1930 6 turn is 3483 kv and might be a little more friendly
