Default RE: SCALE JET e-S76 build

External Lighting

UIH

When we build a scale heli, we try to duplicate every aspect possible. To be honest, I am the last guy to build a scale heli, much less, a Sikorsky S-76. Why, I have worked on them for 32 years.

This, in and of itself, creates issues which drives me to drink. Is my ultimate goal to win something, sure. Does it matter, not one bit.

The goal for me, to replicate, as true as possible, the full scale counter part. If I happen to fly the rotors off of it at the right place and time, my model is correct as possible, then good for me, if not, oh well. Its all about the build.

One particular issue for me, the external lighting. I looked high and low for a system that would be as "true to scale" as possible. The 76 has some fairly unique sequencing for the external lighting system.

The nice folks at East Coast Scale recommended Electro Dynamics for all of my lighting needs. OFD e-mail sent.

Within a day, I received a reply, "What can we do for your project"

I spilled the beans and low and behold, after sending the requirements and some video of what I was looking for, a custom lighting system appeared via e-mail.

We had to "tweak" a few things here and there for my particular application with disconnects, wire lengths, and sequencing of the lighting system, but the end result, Electro Dynamics presented is a 100% correct external lighting system for the Scale Jet 76.

Andy and all the folks at ED really really helped to make this happen.

If you need something special, these are the guys to call.
