In 'Nam, they converted a whole whack of the LCM-6's into a variety of craft: armored gun monitors, high-pressure water-cannon boats, even SEAL Team delivery boats, supplies boats, and some w/ chopper pads welded over the cargo well!

I can also send ya the LCM plan set I have if ya like. All you'd need to do to swap the plans to a LCM-6 is stretch it by 4.5" (6' in 1/16 scale) making your boat 42" long.
