Default RE: Bashing of the Kadet Seniors

I started my build (bash) of the Kadet Senior yesterday. I decided to go with airlerons and flaps fashioned from the kit's trailing edge. Other posts suggested that the barn door style might present control problems for the beginning pilot ( & I am one of them).
I still need to get some stock for the TE hinge spar, but should be able to tap one of the local club members for what I need. Here are three pictures of what I have done so far.

I am not decided on what power plant to use yet. Other postings suggest that the .46 two stroke is really too small. I have looked at The Saito line .72, .80, .91, or perhaps a .61 2 stroke. Brand name may not be all that important. I am keeping in mind that I am using the plane for a trainer, but want to have some adventure with it later on.

I have uploaded 3 pictures, but haven't learned how to attach them in this post. The edit function did not seem to work for this.
