RE: just stripped another idler gear.
Under hi stress could the centrefugal force cause the case to flex? I don't see but three screws holding down the top of the case! Under load if the top of the case flexes I could see the gear becomming miss-alinged causing the theeth to skip and bearing strees! But you would see the wear on the theeth? Just thought I would chime in and give an outsiders thought!
