Default Firebat

Dear friend, I own a Firebat almost a year now, and I don't care what anybody also say about it (a lot of a bad things on this forum), I'm so happy that you wont believe. It fly GREAT if you follow few things and don't go crazy about wight! I got the "kit" and I'm using the 400, with 9-600MA batteries, a GWS 4/ch micro RX and micro Hitec 55. My came out 21 oz., (2 oz. less than adv.) and flew off my hand the first time. One thing different is the battery layout, the first time I used 8/cells still 600MA but, I split the battery pack in this way: four cells where they belong as per instructions, the other 2 right up in front of the fuselage (I had to carve the nose from inside - but do this before you glue the two sides together). You have to build the pack, so that the 2 cells in front are still connected to the one in the back. Now I'm using 9/cells with 7/cells in the back and still 2 in front. This is to approach the balance WITHOUT adding any weight to the front, also you put the RX up in front too, right on top the 2 cells. WATCH you balance and WEIGHT - the only two important factors. Like I said, my came out LIGHTER at 21 oz. I painted with latex in camouflage with a very light coat with a sponge. And the plane ... flyes GREAT! Good luck! ALDO
