RE: How old are you?
39. I used to think I was 'Mr R/C pilot' because I started around about '81 when I was 11, but I wasn't really serious about the hobby after high school. I really started flying weekly about two years ago and I have found I have a lot to learn still.
Things I didn't understand the first 25 years:
What a 'snap-roll' is and what causes it - how it looks different on different planes. (thanks chipmunk, spitfire, DG1000, extra300!)
How flaps can induce catastrophic stalls - (thanks spitfire!)
Coordinated turns (thanks cub!)
Retreating blade stall (thanks Pantera!)
I'm considering IMAC next year and my list of what I know I still need to learn is now really long! I feel very much a beginner these days!
