Ryan, yes you'll need to cool the motor and it wouldn't hurt to cool the esc. You may need a pistix with that type transmitter. Why that motor? If you use one on the many available with a 2.3mm shaft, you won't need that coupler and probably have more power as well. You'll need to consider what voltage (battery) you want to run. If it were me, I'd go with 3s lipo's but 2s is lighter and so may perform better in a small boat (I'm testing that theory in a Jet Ski soon). A pistol type transmitter is more suitable, and good reliable FM transmitters are cheap right now on ebay (pulls from new trucks). The servo can be hot-glued right onto the hull if you want. Sdg
