Prop Version Kangaroo
ddang!
I don't know anybody that do this on the Rookie. It is a nice plane but the engine goes inside the fuse. You have to look for room for the eng. and pipe, suficient air to cooling the engine and for ground prop clearance. I'm decide in the Roo, because it let me install an OS eng. on top of the turbine mount. This gives the prop more clearance from the ground. I'm not saying that can't be done to the rookie, but have to make sure you have enough ground clearance for your prop. Remember a 16/10 prop is a big prop, I think going for smaller diameter prop will help. Can you imagine what would happen if the prop hit the ground at full speed when pulling up elevator? If the plane gives you room for installing an OS go for it and let me know if you succeed. Good luck!
