Default RE: MODEL TECH 2M REMEDY

Hi guys,
Bought this plane 2 weeks ago and made the first test flights yesterday.
First conclusion (after 8 flights); this plane is worth double the price I payed for it! (in the Netherlands 219 euro = $335)
For current US prices under $200 I would buy 2!

Set up:
- OS 120 AX with tuned pipe (on 10% nitro turns an APC 16x8 with >9300 rpm)
- Hitec 5985 on rudder and aelerons
- Hitec 5475 on elevators
- Graupner HS 5391 on throttle
- GP 2200 5-cell battery
- Futaba 2,4 FASST

Weight came out on 5600 gram incl batttery and spinner (no fuel).
Installed engine 90 deg. sideways (generally don't like upside-down engine installation)
Had to put the battery under the engine to get proper balance without having to add extra weight.
Kit quality (relative to price) exceptional good except for the quick links (absolute garbage; way too much play in screw threat and after one time opening they stay open).
Flying wires construction not very good. I would prefer a reinforced horizontal stabiliser instead. My tip for future builders (and also for the manufacturer ) ; reinforce the horizontal stabiliser by adding a carbon rod and forget the whole wiring s@%$t.

Flying characteristics: easy, gentle, precise. No bad habbits at all. Very little coupling. Very very gentle landing characteristcs.
Engine power is oke. Pull-out from hovering is not rocket-like but oke (no problem for me as I don't do any 3D) For pattern flying this engine (with tuned pipe!) is ok.

All in all; a lot of plane for your buck! Execellent cheap F3A / Pattern training plane! [sm=thumbup.gif]
