RE: Seagull Gee Bee Z
Went to the field before it got dark tonight. Started engine, got idle and transition right and went to do the maiden. With the OS 160, swinging an APC 18x6w @ 8600 rpm, she took off in about 15 feet. A little bit of trim and it was flying perfect. Plenty of power but it did have too much elevator as it snapped out of 1st loop. Decided to land and fix. Nice smooth decent, maybe a little too slow, bounced and flipped on landing, maybe touched elevator. Anyway, no damage, very happy with new combination and I built it better this time and should be a nice flying plane added to my already sizable collection.
