ABSOLUTELY! My experience with a Quadra 35: B&B "muffler" 18x8 Zinger square tip=105dB, OUCH! Same engine with Bisson muffler and eliptical shaped prop tips=92dB. Same RPM!! It's on my PAC Aero GBY ARF.
