The environment I fly in is criss crossed with high power transmision and power lines, the UK has very crowded airwaves and therefore is a faily harsh environment for any system in a built up area, we fly on an estuary that has communication masts on either side of it, IFS /XPS just would not work on my site, the lock out where consistant and total, ordianary PPM has glitches, PCM seems to be reliable, but all 2.4Ghz except IFS seems to work OK, I have not tried the new system from Graupner nor intend too, as I have said before once bitten twice shy.

Mike totally true, unfortunately for JD and XPS, once bitten twice shy!! I have read many many posts like yours and it seems when it first came out it wasn't tested as it should have... Now XPS has to pay the price and will have to clean up their act or it may be their demise.

Presently XPS has the idea of getting a new system which will transmit in the actual 2.4Ghz but will have a secondary or dual system on the 900 Mhz bandwidth lets see how that goes and when it goes... People, including myself, have been asking about their 12ch receivers with no luck on release dates, he says he will release them jointly with their 16ch ones .

But well, he is trying to keep up and that by itself is outstanding given all the problems he had to face at the beginning.

The problems that he faced he made for himself, he brought an item to the market that clearly did not do what it said in the advertising blurb, it was supposed to hop to a different frequency withing the 2.4Ghz band if it detected interference, it was proved it did not work, hop or reject interference, IMO he does not deserve to have my buisness or anyone elses for that matter, I do not like being lied to in any type of advertisment especially in a circustance that could cost me many thousands of my hard earned cash, my advise to all is not to trust XPS or the Graupner IFS system it does not deserve to be on the market, there are others out there that did not lie on the performance of their systems and have addressed any problems found after bringing them out, they have been up front with the problems encountered and addressed them XPS have not even admitted that a problem existed, that in itself is enough to convince me they cannot be trusted.

EDIT: The Futaba 12FG is 12 proportional channels and two switched or if you fit the MPX-1 system to channels 11 & 12 you can get an extra 16 channels yes thats right a total of 26 proportional channels and two switched.
