As I mentioned, the Dubro Micro stuff was pretty useless. I went to my local fishing tackle store and got some 20 lb nylon coated stainless steel fishing leader and crimps - shown below. This seems to have much higher strength and does not stretch. This seems to be working.
Sandor - I still think the design should be changed to holes that would allow a larger diameter cable to be used and to allow it to attach more positively to the tiller.
we have no problems fitting a cable
however you can not use nylon calbe, .we only use steel cable from dubro.
you could drill holes into it , its not hardened.
