Default RE: NEW DLE30!

That's where everyone has their shorts in a bunch over nothing. The engine has to have been at an extended idle, tuned rich on the low end, and permitted time to develop a fuel puddle for this to happen. In flight it just ain't so. Even an extended approach at low throttle presents at best an insignificant chance of killing the engine, and even then it would only happen at a rapid throttle up. Jody at Valley View has THE correct fix for the condition, but it's not something he can do for free with every engine that's been sold. Hell, he shouldn't do it for even one engine.

A part has to be manufactured and installed to cure the basic condition, anotherpart woulkd well serve general performance after the basic part was installed, and there is no way a distributor is responsible for the cost in time and labor. Nor should everyone suddenly start making calls and e-mails insisting that this part be provided to them. It's a manufacturer responsibility and should be left that way.
