RE: flight simulators
I really liked G4 but not G4.5 and G5 is new but I was so put off by G4.5 that I am not even going to try G5.
I liked Aerofly Pro Deluxe but they just came out with a new version which I haven't even seen yet.
I hated FS-One.
I love FMS. Free and planes can be created and edited with free programs too. Lousy graphics but very nice to have a sim anywhere I want, even on an "antique" PC.
Many Heli people swear by clearview but I only tried the demo.
I also have an older version of Pre-Flight which I have mixed feelings about compared to newer sims, but I did get it for free so I am not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
Keep in mind that I only have slow flyers and small helis so I have no opinion on 3D or fast flying in sims. I mainly use them to keep fingers and orientation up to par.
