Your pipe is made of aluminum, which is an excellent conductor of heat. How is it that you think adding a very thin layer of the same material between the pipe and the body will reduce the heat transfer to the body?
You want a high temperature resistant insulating material, unless you plan to coat a large area with the aluminum tape, which would effectively form a heat sink.
