I cover the top of the stab with aluminum tape, put a piece of heat blanket between the pipe and the stab (tucked in the fuselage, and wrap the spiral wrap with aluminum tape. Over-kill, if nothing ever goes wrong, but it would be nice to have the elevators working when the pipe is compromised or the back of the plane is on fire.
Ditto on the nose gear. Amazing how much pitch down you get.

the alum tape on the stab is a good idea.. I think I will do that inside the fuse.. I will also cover the servo wires with alum tape all the way to the turbine inlet. I have seen what happens if the engine mount gives or something during a hard landing. gotta watch the weight in the back..
