ORIGINAL: gplarry I have an Eclipse 7 that is only a few months old. I bought it to replace an Eclipse 7 that is several years old. I ran the older eclipse on a 3 cell lipo and did not have any trouble with it. In fact it still operates fine. I replaced it because it has been dropped several times and is held together with JB weld. My question is whether the Eclipse 7 can be operated on 3s with the 2.4 GHZ module.
Thanks, Larry
AOK provided your Lipol pack has a voltage regulator built in so as not to exceed 12.0V.
Please refer to previous advices:
Batteries_Lithium Polymer - Do Not Use Lipol in Transmitters
The Spectra Pro is designed to be used within two circuits, depending on pinouts, either the Aurora which is specifically designed to operate on 7.2v NiCad/NiMHor 2S Lipol, or the pinouts of earlier module based TX fitted with 9.6VNiCad/NiMH or 8 x AAAlkaline (12.0v), higher voltage voids warranty.
