John,
That's the spirit! Thanks for taking the plunge. I find it takes a little courage to do build threads even if they are casual - they take some work. But, in the end, they keep you motivated and it's great to share builds of classics amongst aficionados!
Mike,
you might as well include the canopies in the kits - one less thing to think about and more easily taken care of source. (I plan to include them in the MK 20 size kits once they leave the drawing board.) Beyond that though I wouldn't get too involved with hardware. Choosing stuff like that is part of the fun in building these older designs. Everyone can use what they like. It also keeps the kit price and shipping down as presumably the box is smaller and lighter (at least marginally). The only wood you might want to consider not including is standard size sheeting unless it is custom cut. Again, most people can easily source 1/16" or 1/8" stock for example. On the other hand, triangle stock and other stick balsa is trickier and not always and everywhere available. If you have a reliable source, you might as well include that stuff. Of course, all the laser parts both balsa and ply are mandatory. I guess that's obvious.
And since there is much talk about ST blueheads, I thought I'd post up my three puppies: an X25, an S40 and an X60.
Love these guys!
Oh yea, and the X11 which is unfortunately not a BH though they too existed.
David.
