You are correct about the Elmers. I'm not sure why I thought it was Pro Bond, but I just checked a new bottle I just bought. It is Ultimate. And I also babysit the glue until it does its thing. However, I've found that if you let it swell out the hinge holes, it is pretty easy to trim away with an X-acto blade. But that is certainly not the best procedure, just someting to remember if it swells after you walk away from the project for awhile and come back to find it wasn't completely cured.
