Default RE: SettingJR 9x to handle flaps and ailerons

Oh wow, that's a fun one. Not that it's really much to do with pattern, but I'll try and help anyway.

I have something similar on my CAP 10, where I set up the flaps as coupled flaps (coupled to the elevator, down elevator, up flap, up elevator, down flap) it was a bad idea but the general workings are the same.

I'd use the pmix 5 and 6, and perhaps use flight modes to switch between them. I have mine also set up that for landing I flick a switch and the flaps drop if I'm below 15% throttle. This only works on FM0 so even if I forget it's not to bad. WHy have them activated by throttle as well? if you have to go around, having flaps down can really slow your progress!

If you set it to a specific flight mode, and switch for flaps you should be pretty good. Just set each aileron to to be the master of each flap. It takes a bit of phaffing to get the the point where it's just dialling in, but start with getting your programming right to do what you want, and then dial in the amount of slaved flap you need.

hope that helps.
