Default F-86 Crash and rebuild

Here are pics of my HP Jets F-86 before and after a midair. The tail area was damaged from the inpact wich also split the fuse in half right behind the wing. The left wing panel folded in the air as the plane was kicked side ways. I started to mess around one night and before I knew it the fuse was glued back together along with the Tail.

After careful consideration I decided Not to rebuild the old wing. I just don't think it would be have been air worthy.

With the help of Dave Rigotti, we sent the info on the wings to FlyingFoam.com and A new set of cores where cut. They did a great job on these cores. With the plans I cut new wng tube mounts and landing gea r plates and assembled the new wings.

I stripped the fuse with Citra Strip from Home Depot and managed to get the fuse in primer and spot putty. She should be ready by next summer to fly again.

Here are the pics
