Default RE: My Jet Boat Build...

ORIGINAL: Body Guard

Fantastic job on this project. Thanks for sharing.
Been involved with serious jetski racing and one of the things that we worked on was to ensure the jets stays hooked and different scoop gate was tried to maximise the jet pump for max. forward velocity of the hull.
Hope this help.

Raced Jet boat for 10+ years 130+ mph every pass. We had bubbles in front of the intake to keep pump loaded and lifts boat. Water will follow are round edge making a bubble directs the water right into the intake and since water does not compress the water pushes up bubble. The problem is know just how far in front of the intake to put it and how big. To close to the intake and it shoots the water right on past the intake and to far away t don't reach the intake. To big of a bubble loads the intake to much. Bubble size and ocation has to match the horse power.
