Hi all,
Are there any examples of planes that are of simillar construction as the World Models (also known as the AeroWorks Edge!) Edge out there that you can think of? I have the WM Edge and I pancaked it today from about 200 feet up. I was doing an inverted flat spin (this plane, well, at least my plane would flat spin upright or inverted all day long!) I lost the engine on the way down and basically spun it all the way down to the ground. Amazingly enough, I had very little damage. I bent the gear and snapped two of the bottom fuselage stringers. I also boke the ply where the back of the left wing meets the fuse. This will really be a snap (no pun intended) to fix and it will be flying again next week, but I was just thinking ahead as to what the next home for my beloved YS 91fx might be. I am sure I will continue to fly the edge for a long time, but I am not into fixing planes more than once. If something happens again, I would be less inclined to fix it and more inclined to put the YS in something else. I really like the big plane construction that WM employed with the plug in wings and ply fuse sides and stringers etc. It's like having having a 25 percent model of one of the 33 percent planes!

If there is nothing out there like it, I wouldn't be opposed to getting another one of the edges. Despite the weight problems ( mine came out to 9.5 lbs ready to fly) it is a wonderful plane. Great flight characteristics and as mentioned before, a hell of a flat spinner. So any suggestions would be appreciated. The lighter the better. I have already looked into the Vector Flight models seen on the top of RC Universe in a banner ad. Any other suggestions??
Thanks,
