RE: what to get?
Part of the problem with repairing a lot of these new ARF's is that they're largely built of laser cut lite ply, with little balsa. My ChinnYak is a good example: there is precious little to glue back together! The profile fuse on it is all laser cut large pieces of really thin ply; I can't really figure a way out to make it strong again, so I have added a birch stick between the side plates and am also adding some flat carbon strips to cap the top and bottom of the fuse. The Reactor was the same too: lots of ply and only a little balsa. If you don't have a little jigsaw, it's pretty hard to cut new pieces of ply to rebuild. Oh well, another hobby tool to buy one of these days...
