I totally agree with the redundency in the model. Switchs and batteries fail the most, so as long as you have the room go for it. The increase in power is a benefit also. My servos for elev. rudder are under the piece of wood that the wing bolts to. My steering servo is just forward of that and the retract and throttle are around the air tank. Pretty much like the manual shows. I'm balanced where the manual shows and it flies great. Good luck.
