Thanks for the response. Did you fly pattern in Texas? I was flying pattern actively in Texas in the 1980's.
I flew pattern in the midwest from 1974 to 1977. I did use Webra Black head 60s that George Aldrich reworked. After ABC engines came to the fore front I started using them. In fact I still have an almost new Ross Black Demon ABC 60 laying in my vintage collection along with a couple Schneurle port Webras.
