I usually reverse the blade, but have also used a chunk of soft balsa, wine corks and pen caps. To solve the rolling knife turned javelin problem, you can glue a balsa stick to the side, drill through the end and insert a screw, or get some of the triangular pencil grips from Staple/Office Max/etc
