Default Ugh 27% edge go bye bye

So about 2 months ago, I put in my 27% edge 540 due to cockiness, and over confidence. Plane was inverted, and started popping loudly, so i flipped it back over (heres the first mistake), I made a pass over the runway, and it seemed to smooth out.. Until it got to about 3/4 of the runway, started popping again, and then shut off... I was about 50-60 ft up, and thought that I could just turn the plane around and hit the runway ... that was NOT the case LOL.. As i banked for the turn, she was dropping pretty quick, so I went to level it out (and yet another mistake) using the ailerons. As soon as it leveled out, it stalled and, that was all she wrote. Lessons learned? Dont use ailerons when you deadstick a BIG plane, and dont hot dog it over the runway after you know something is wrong.

The culprit? The cap on the sullivan fuel valve came off, and well, caused the motor to lean out. And heres the aftermath, and then what I replaced that plane with.

And pinky's replacement.
