Consider getting a Swann Morton 'Retractaway ' holder which takes scalpel blades (10A etc ) www.craftknives.co.uk/products/retractaway.html or the USA agent http://www.cincinnatisurgical.com/li...&item=crhandle This retracts the blade into the handle yet holds it as firm as a normal scalpel without play. Not much more cost than a normal scalpel, and the blades are the super sharp type not the hobby knife type.
