Hey guys, I’ve been reading through this forum for a while now. What a great place! The more I read it the more I get excited about a new build. I have a brand new ASP 15MX marine engine with a pull start, it’s been sitting there collecting dust for a few years. I now want to make a good use of it. What I havein mind is….well…like everyone else…..a “wild thing”…

What I have in mind is a 26” constructed with 1/8 ply for transom, bulkheads, stringers etc, and 3mm balsa for bottom and deck. As for the running gear, this is where your help is appreciated. I’m thinking a 4mm flex cable but not sure about the prop yet. 100mm rudder with water pickup, trim tabs and fins. I hope I’m not too off the mark. Does anyone have any experience with the ASP engine? What kind of speed would I be able to get with a setup like this? Thanks guys and keep up with the good work!
