Default RE: Faster combination Car/engine for drag/parking lot

ORIGINAL: Rapidito

Hi, currently a have a Savege and a Jato, but I want to buy an On-road car. I want a fast car (+70mph) for use in drag racing and parking lot bashing. I know that very few cars can run that much out of the box, but I want to know wich car have the potentially to exceed 70 mph without breaking the transmission (like my Jato) or other parts, and changing only the engine, pipe, spur and clutchbell. I have been thinking about the Cen CT5 and Fusion 28, but there is no parts for the Fusion and not so much for the Cen CT5 like for example a HPI RS4 or TC3. Please let me know yours opinon.

This is what I want, but is not available yet!

Here is the problem, most of the cars that go that fast don't handle or give somekind of trouble. The Cen that you are interested in looks pretty good actually, but no one can tell the quality of the materials used etc. from pix.

I mean the fastest cars on the planet (around a race course) are the 1/8 all out race cars like the Kyosho Evolva or similar car from Xray, Team Magic and others too numerous too mention. In 1/10 scale the Kyosho Vone RRR Evo2 and similar cars from Xray, etc are the quickest. They have electric counterparts that are also blindingly fast around the track.

But when it comes to parking lot bashing and such the cars that claim 70, 80, and 90 miles per hour last for awhile then ususally fall apart, or a headache to keep going.

If you want that kind of car get one that you can get parts for. Buy an older, used Evolva or Xray, or Mugen etc put a monster LRP .30 competition(non pull start) in its and you will wail. The plus side is being able to buy parts and starting with a car that was meant for speed. The reason I suggest the LRP or similar is you get alot of power for reasonable money. These cars that I suggest above are built to take power, the trannies and the diffs, drivelines etc are the best in the business.

This is my .02 cents, I've just seen too many people buy the schumacker, the Nitro tec and the Cens and are disappointed by their less than desirable handling and with no racing heritage or with limited upgrade capability.
You can probably find some places that sell Cen parts, though I've seen them.

Sorry to ramble but I'm just trying to help.
