Default RE: RC10GT2 extended frame

ORIGINAL: redneckUSCG

I am trying to adopt a short course body to a gt2 frame, i need a extra 1'' to 1 1/2'' or wheelbase. does any one out there make a long frame convertion?
I'm doing the same thing with an HPI MT2. I need 1.25" more in length for the wheelbase to be right in the fender openings. I'm going to get a piece of aluminum, lay the old chassis on top, clamp it, then use the old chassis as a template and add the extra length. While it's clamped, drill all of your holes so everything will line up.

Look in the HPI Official MT2 thread. I started posting what I was doing and some pics on page 798. I'll be updating as I go along if you want to check it out.
Good luck!
